賣家描述
General Information
Artist: The Rolling Stones
Album: Their Satanic Majesties Request
Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, Stereo, Gatefold
Year: 1976
Label: London Records
Catalog Number: NPS-2
Country: USA
Description
This is a 1970s US vinyl reissue of The Rolling Stones' 1967 psychedelic album. This version features a standard gatefold cover with a high-quality printed image instead of the original 3D lenticular. The record is housed in its original factory shrink wrap, which has protected the sleeve for decades. It features the blue London Records label and includes the NPS-2 catalog number on the spine.
Condition
Vinyl: Presumed MINT (unplayed)
Cover: Factory-sealed, never opened. The cover is in excellent vintage condition, still preserved in its original shrink wrap. The graphics are bright and sharp, and the spine is intact and fully readable. The overall presentation is very clean due to the long-term protection of the plastic wrap.
Notes for collectors
Satanic Majesties Request is famous for being the most experimental departure for the Stones, heavily influenced by the psychedelic era. While the very first 1967 pressings featured an expensive 3D lenticular image on the front, this feature was discontinued for later 1970s reissues like this one to reduce production costs. However, these reissues are still highly collectible for their sound quality and iconic artwork. A famous detail remains on the cover: the hidden faces of the four Beatles (John, Paul, George, and Ringo) can be seen among the flowers, which was a response to the Stones being featured on the cover of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper album earlier that year.
