An attractive and highly collectible vintage Pentax film SLR set, featuring the renowned Pentax Super A (Program A) paired with the original Motor Drive A and the highly regarded standard prime lens SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.7.

Released in 1983, the Super A represents one of Pentax’s most advanced and forward-thinking 35mm SLR cameras of the early 1980s. Now over 40 years old, it stands as a true classic from the golden era of film photography — a period when mechanical craftsmanship and electronic innovation reached a perfect balance.
A beautifully preserved example of Pentax engineering from the early 1980s.

The camera combines traditional manual control with sophisticated automation, offering a full range of exposure modes — Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual — making it both historically significant and highly usable for today’s film photographers.

The included Motor Drive A enables automatic film advance and continuous shooting, creating a more professional shooting configuration while also enhancing the camera’s collector appeal.

The lens, SMC Pentax-A 50mm F1.7, is celebrated for its sharp rendering, pleasing bokeh at wide apertures, and excellent contrast thanks to Pentax’s Super Multi Coating. A versatile standard prime ideal for portraits, street photography, and everyday film shooting.
