We are delighted to offer for sale, this exquisite French Aubusson salon set is a stunning piece of antique furniture that will add elegance and charm to any room. The set includes a Louis XV giltwood sofa and a pair of armchairs, upholstered with Aubusson tapestry in countryside scenes.

Depicting a fabulous story of years gone by. The gilded frame is in good condition, with some minor scuffs and redness of the aged gilding showing through, which really adds the character of this piece.


The upholstery is frayed and worn in areas, showing the original lining fabric and horse hair filling. The Aubusson has woven gallant scenes, and a fable of a wolf dressed as a huntsman.


Crafted in France in the early-1800s, this rare set of furniture are in their an original condition. The set has a seating capacity of up to five and features a back style of cabriole. The set requires no assembly the sofa measures 160cm in length, 65cm depth and 118cm in height. The armchairs measure 106cm height, 65cm width and 60 depth. with a seat height of 50cm
