Large silver-plated meat dome / food cover – JD & Co Ltd – England, circa 1900

A beautiful antique silver-plated meat dome (food cover).

England, circa 1900

The piece is marked on the interior “JD & Co Ltd”, referring to Johnson, Durban & Co, Birmingham.

The dome features an elegant beaded border and a finely shaped top handle. A small hook on the back also allows the cover to be hung on the wall when not in use.
