这件古董硯箱（日本笔墨盒）可追溯至明治-大正时期（约19世纪末至20世纪初），体现了当时学术文化的高雅品味。

盒盖以代表“文房四宝”（笔、墨、纸、硯）的字符装饰，采用优雅的篆体风格。中心显著的是“硯”字，周围以“笔”和“纸”等字样以装饰性金色元素点缀，呈现出修养与智性的美学。

外部以精美金色花卉蒔絵装饰，打开后内部呈现出梨地底地。知识象征与精湛漆器工艺相结合，使其既具实用性又极具装饰性。

明治-大正时期（约1890s–1920s）

This work strongly reflects the bunjin (literati) taste that was popular among educated classes during this era. The use of classical script and durable, refined lacquer craftsmanship gives the piece a dignified presence developed over more than a century.
