Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva

Sangiovese and other complementary varieties to pay homage to a historic label and a wine with a long tradition: the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva. With the inauguration of the Antinori wine cellar in Chianti Classico, the family wished to reinterpret a Tuscan classic, with its unmistakable style and recognised quality, through a Riserva that is both delicate and at the same time decisive and elegant.

The 2024 vintage was characterised by a relatively mild winter with normal rainfall, followed by a moderately rainy spring that ensured good soil moisture balance. Spring temperatures, slightly below average, resulted in regular budding and uniform plant growth. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon flowers appeared in early June, followed by fruit set about a week later, in line with the timing of recent years. During July and August, the hot, stable weather, accompanied by significant temperature variations between day and night, favoured gradual and optimal ripening of the grapes. The harvest began with Sauvignon Blanc in the third ten days of August and ended with Sémillon around mid-September. At the time of harvest, the grapes were in excellent health, perfectly ripe, with a good balance between acidity and sugar and a particularly rich and complex aromatic profile.
