Faustine l’Ancienne (vers 100–140), épouse de l’empereur Antonin le Pieux, fut une impératrice romaine réputée pour sa vertu et sa générosité. Divinisée après sa mort, elle donna son nom à plusieurs fondations charitables en faveur des orphelins et des jeunes filles. Sa mémoire fut largement honorée sous le règne de son mari, qui fit ériger en son honneur le temple de Faustine à Rome.

Faustina the Elder (c. 100–140), wife of Emperor Antoninus Pius, was a Roman empress renowned for her virtue and generosity. Deified after her death, she gave her name to several charitable foundations for orphans and young girls. Her memory was widely honored during the reign of her husband, who had the Temple of Faustina erected in her honor in Rome.
