賣家描述
Realist portrait with expresionist nuances of a Native American man.
This is painted on a wooden board for greater expressiveness, using the textures and grain of the wood; the technique is mixed, ranging from oil to spray.
Painted out of love for Native American culture, his attitudes, his way of life.
Interested in the roots of the American continent, history, spirituality or a natural conception of life, shamanism, rituals.
I am Sergio Rivera Martínez, an artist from Madrid. It could be said that I have been painting since I was born.
Art enters my life naturally; my grandparents and mother were artisans and artists who work wood, tapestries, ceramics, and of course painting.
All the memories I have are tied to painting… At home, at my grandparents’ house, birthday and Christmas gifts that are paint boxes, while I watched my favorite cartoons I would paint. I painted so much that when I left the house I did so as well, and thus I began to experiment with graffiti in my early adolescence, until today when I became part of the graffiti history book of Majadahonda.
Currently I work on canvases with a meticulous realism in every detail or any expression. I focus the motifs of my work mainly on nostalgia, retro or/and classic.
Some of the latest exhibitions in which I have participated:
Madrid Print Fair 2024
Various exhibitions at Espacio Beny 2023-2024
Cyclamen Exhibition, Léucade Gallery 2024
Exhibition Setenta y Dos, Punto Rojo Gallery
Group exhibition “Hashtag3” Léucade Gallery
Group exhibition “Esencial” Léucade Gallery.
Work Geronimo, mention of best plastic work in the western genre. Almería Western Film Festival 2017. Among others.
2025-2026 Represented by Galería Herraíz (Madrid)
