珠寶箱 (3) - 銀

Filigree and enamelled pumpkin-shape trinket box and cover Republic period. This rare Chinese tea container is crafted from extremely fine silver-gilt, with filigree work combined with high-quality polychrome enamels.

The surface is richly decorated with a floral motif featuring flowers and butterflies, typical of the refined productions of the Republic of China period, around the 1930-50’s

The interior is entirely gilt, an essential detail for this type of silver ware. The piece is marked silver at the center of the interior confirming its solid silver content. With its substantial size, exceptional weight of 289 g, and remarkable state of preservation (enamel, filigree, and vermeil perfectly preserved), this box stands well above standard production and is a truly exceptional piece.
