賣家描述
Yoshida Minori 吉田美統's Beautiful Kutani Porcelain 九谷焼 Vase - Ceramic, Porcelain - Shōwa period (1926-1989)
This Kutani ware vase is truly exquisite. It achieves an elegant beauty by delicately applying gold leaf to a light green base.
Minori Yoshida 吉田美統, born in Ishikawa Prefecture in 1932, holds the esteemed title of Living National Treasure. His mastery lies in a technique called "yurikinsai 釉裏金彩," which involves using both thin and thick gold leaf to create a sense of depth. Yoshida's skill in handling the extremely thin gold leaf is unparalleled, requiring precision in cutting and application.
Following the application of gold leaf, a transparent glaze is added to accentuate the natural brilliance of the gold, ensuring its lasting luster without any discoloration. Yoshida's work embodies a subdued yet dignified beauty, earning high praise as a masterpiece of art both domestically and internationally.
