这是对Taisho Maeda的 cinnabar vase(属于Saga Prefecture重要无形文化财产持有者)的详细产品描述。
[Master Craftsman] Taisho Maeda's Cinnabar Crane-Neck Vase
This cinnabar vase is by Taisho Maeda, a holder of Saga Prefecture's Important Intangible Cultural Property "Hizen Ceramics" and one of the leading artists in contemporary Japanese ceramics. It is a masterpiece that stands out for the vibrant, lifelike crimson color that is synonymous with his work.
■ Features of the Work
Breathtaking "Maeda's Crimson":
Cinnabar, which is produced by reducing the firing of copper, is known as an extremely difficult technique to control. This work expresses a magnificent gradation that changes from a deep, calm red to a fiery crimson towards the top, and then to white.
"Glaze Flow" Landscape:
The body of the vessel features white mottled patterns (landscapes) that appear as if the glaze has naturally flowed down, possessing a dynamic beauty reminiscent of pouring light or a waterfall.
Elegant Crane Neck Form:
The perfect proportions of the slender, elongated neck and the richly curved body beautifully complement a single tea flower, enhancing its dignified presence.
■ About the Artist, Taisho Maeda (1937 - )
Born in Imari City, Saga Prefecture. A renowned figure with a distinguished career, he has received the highest award at the Japan Contemporary Craft Art Exhibition and has been designated a holder of Saga Prefecture's Important Intangible Cultural Property. His style, which pursues "color" with his unique sensibility while based on traditional porcelain techniques, is highly regarded and his works are held in museums both domestically and internationally.
