This is a "power stone" size, but the K Color grade makes it a very specific choice, especially for an Emerald cut.

The 2-Carat "Impact"
In an Emerald cut, 2 carats is where the stone starts to look truly architectural. While a 1.50ct might measure around 8mm in length, a 2.00ct (if cut well) will often hit closer to 8.5mm to 9mm. It will cover a significant portion of the finger's width, making the "step-cut" flashes much more dramatic.

2. The "K Color" Reality Check
This is the most important factor for this diamond. K is the first grade in the "Faint Tint" category.

The Tint: In an Emerald cut, which has large, open facets and a deep "body," a K color will show a noticeable warm, yellowish tint, especially from the side profile.

The Contrast: Because the clarity is VVS2, the stone will be incredibly transparent. This high transparency can actually make the color more obvious because there are no inclusions to distract the eye. You are looking at a very "pure" but "warm" crystal.

Setting is Everything: I strongly recommend setting a K-color diamond in 18k Yellow Gold. The yellow metal will make the K color look white by comparison. If you put this stone in a Platinum or White Gold setting, the "icy" metal will make the diamond look more yellow than it actually is.

Diamond Office.
2. Cancellation/Withdrawal by the Winning Bidder:
