ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With “Zeus”, I chose to reinterpret one of the most powerful figures of Greek mythology through a contemporary street art language.

Rather than depicting the god in action, I focused on his presence — calm, dominant, almost immovable. The expression is deliberately restrained, but carries a silent intensity, as if the power is contained rather than expressed. This tension between stillness and force is central to the piece.

The monochrome palette enhances this feeling. The deep blacks structure the face and beard, while the lighter tones sculpt the volume and bring a sense of light emerging from within the figure. The composition plays on contrast to create a strong, almost monumental impact despite the format.

The background is built instinctively with layers of textures and raw gestures. It evokes an organic, almost mineral environment, reinforcing the idea of a timeless figure emerging from chaos — a god shaped by elements rather than separated from them.

Every stencil has been entirely hand-cut, line by line, requiring precision and patience. This meticulous work contrasts with the spontaneous energy of the background, creating a balance between control and instinct — a signature element of my artistic approach.

This piece is not only a portrait of Zeus, but a representation of authority, inner power and controlled force.
