Pendant set with a Roman rock crystal bead, wire-wrapped and fitted with a handmade bail. The ancient bead, dating to the Roman period, has been re-mounted with modern fittings, making it suitable for modern wear while preserving its historical charm.

坠饰组包含一个罗马时期的岩晶珠，采用线材包裹并配以手工铰环。该古珠历史可追溯至罗马时期，现以现代配饰重新镶嵌，既适合现代佩戴，又保留其历史魅力。

Condition:
Good condition and wearable. The ancient bead is been restrung and combined with modern gold-plated spacer beads and fittings. Minor surface irregularities and signs of wear consistent with age and use.

Composed of beads originating from various old collections, acquired in the UK between 2016–2024.

Historical background:
Rock crystal, a transparent and colourless quartz, was believed by the ancients to be formed from ice which had hardened into stone through intense freezing.
Pliny the Elder reports that it was. found in many places, but the best was brought from India.
