賣家描述
Item Description:
Japanese Tetu-Uchidashi (Hand-Hammered Iron) Flower Vase — Signed Artist's Work
A substantial and elegantly formed hand-hammered iron flower vase (hanaire) in the tetu-uchidashi technique — a traditional Japanese metalworking method in which heated iron sheet is worked by hammer to create organic, subtly textured surfaces of quiet beauty.
This is a signed artist's work (sakka mono), bearing the personal mark (mei) of its maker, and represents the considered vision of an individual craftsman rather than anonymous production.
The vessel rises in a confident, tapering column with a gracefully flared neck, the hammered surface imparting a rich, nuanced texture that catches the light with every subtle variation.
The deep, dark iron finish has developed a warm, well-settled patina consistent with age and careful use.
This is a serious, high-quality piece that would serve equally well as a chabana (tea ceremony flower vessel), a display vase for a tokonoma alcove, or a statement object in a contemporary interior.
