Antique French Solid Silver Oil & Vinegar Cruet Set
Paris, ca. 1911–1916
Elegant and refined oil and vinegar cruet set in solid French silver (950/1000), complete with its original engraved crystal bottles and stoppers. This refined table piece perfectly illustrates the high standards of Parisian silver production in the early 20th century.
The silver stand is richly modelled with flowing Rococo-inspired lines, shell and foliage motifs, and stands on four scroll feet. The crystal bottles are finely engraved with classic decorative cartouches and fitted with faceted stoppers, specifically designed for oil and vinegar service.
Crafted by Alphonse Debain, a renowned Parisian silversmith active in the late 19th and early 20th century, well known for his high-quality table silver.
