賣家描述
The figure depicts two disembodied heads, sharing a common neck, mounted on a pole. This Janus-like configuration suggests the simultaneity of different spiritual or psychological states within a single entity. Both faces are meticulously sculpted, yet distinctly different in their expressions, creating a complementary tension. Incl stand.
The right face is characterized by a continuous eyebrow, closed eyes with downward-turned outer corners, and slightly smiling, full lips. It conveys an introspective, almost dreamy quality. The left face, in contrast, has a more prominent forehead, no eyebrows, and also closed eyes; its slightly open mouth appears more focused and introspective.
Both heads have identical hairstyles, culminating in a small crest at the top. The pronounced plasticity of the cheekbones underscores the individual characterization of the faces. Distinct cracks and signs of wear indicate long ritual use and the object's integration into the social and spiritual life of the Lobi people.
