賣家描述
Observer Untitled,2025
From the series Observer
80 × 80 cm
Mixed media on canvas
In this work, the human figure emerges and dissolves within a structured pictorial field, where the rectangular format introduces a subtle sense of orientation, yet fails to stabilize the identity it contains. The figure resists containment, stretching and compressing against invisible limits, suggesting identity as something continuously negotiated rather than defined.
Dense chromatic flows accumulate and fracture across the surface, while thick painterly gestures generate a tension between construction and erosion. The head, positioned in profile, becomes a site of compression, where layers of perception, memory, and distortion collide into a single unstable presence.
Unlike the circular format, where identity folds into itself, here it appears momentarily aligned, only to be disrupted by internal forces that dissolve coherence. The background acts as a silent counterweight, amplifying the instability of the figure rather than grounding it.
The work proposes identity not as a fixed image, but as a shifting interface between what is seen and what refuses to fully appear.
This artwork is offered with a reserved price.
The final sale price includes VAT.
