Russian icon with saints and Christ Pantocrator – 19th / early 20th century

A refined Russian icon painted in tempera on a wooden panel, embellished with a rich gilt riza finely decorated with floral and geometric motifs.
The composition presents, at the top, Christ Pantocrator, while in the main scene four full-length saints are depicted.

“圣瓦莱里娅殉道圣人、圣王子亚历山大、圣尼古拉治愈行者和圣塞尔吉奥殉道者。”

The icon is characterized by:
- etched and chased gold background
- vivid colors well preserved.
- Traditional style of the late Imperial Russian school, original inscriptions in Church Slavonic.

Conditions: good overall condition, with normal signs of time and use; small wear and patina consistent with age. Golden wooden frame (not from the period of the work).
