Hans Mitzlaff for Eugen Schmidt / Soloform – “Boomerang” armchair, Germany, 1953

Elegant and sculptural armchair from the early 1950s, designed by Hans Mitzlaff and produced by Eugen Schmidt for Soloform. This iconic Boomerang model features a beautifully shaped wooden frame with black lacquered finish and characteristic curved armrests.

The chair is fitted with off-white / cream bouclé upholstered pads, fastened with original snap buttons. The upholstery and foam have been professionally renewed, ensuring excellent seating comfort while maintaining the original look. Felt pads are present, and the chair is marked with the manufacturer’s plaque.

A timeless mid-century design that works equally well as a lounge chair or accent piece.

Condition:
Very good condition. Frame shows light, age-appropriate signs of use consistent with its period.
