A Luristan Bronze Spearhead, Western Iran, 2nd to 1st Millennium B.C.

Small and charming Luristan bronze spearhead with a well-formed leaf-shaped blade, raised central rib and flared base. The piece displays a fine green patina with attractive darker accents. Despite its modest size, it retains excellent form and balance, typical of the high-quality metalwork produced in the Zagros Mountains during the late Bronze Age to early Iron Age.
Miniature spearheads like this were likely used as javelins, votive offerings, or prestige items for personal adornment or burial goods.
