A beautiful pair of authentic vintage Japanese traditional Yanagiba knives, handcrafted in the spirit of Sakai’s long-established blade-making culture.
This highly collectible set includes two signed single-bevel sashimi knives, each carrying the refined elegance and practical functionality sought after by professional Japanese chefs and collectors of traditional Japanese cutlery.

The left knife is signed “金楠別打 (Kanekusu Betsuuchi)”, while the right knife bears the respected Sakai signature “堺貞守 (Sakai Sadamori)”.
The ferrule label on the smaller knife reads:

“堺 切味最高 / 堺伝統刃物品質保証”
(“Sakai – सर्वो highest sharpness / Guaranteed Quality Traditional Sakai Blades”)

These knives embody the aesthetic of vintage Japanese culinary tools: understated beauty, hand-finished geometry, and razor-oriented single-bevel craftsmanship developed for precise sashimi and fish preparation.
