Beautiful pair of 19th/early 20th-century French silver serving pieces (argenterie de table), both bearing the official Minerve hallmark guaranteeing .950 silver (1st title French silver).

1. Solid .950 Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon (Saupoudreuse)
•  Maker: Benoît Lanos (renowned Parisian silversmith, active from c. 1838)
•  Finely pierced rococo-style bowl with intricate floral, scroll, and shell motifs – perfect for elegantly dusting powdered sugar over desserts, fruits, or pastries
•  Delicately engraved and beaded handle with ornate terminal
•  Weight: 32.9 g

2. .950 Silver & Vermeil Ice Cream Serving Spoon (Pelle à glace)
•  Handle: solid .950 silver (filled and fully covered) with rich rococo ornamentation – scrolls, shells, and floral relief work
•  Bowl: silver with beautiful vermeil (gold-over-silver) finish and finely engraved central motif of a ribbon bow with laurel/foliage branches
•  Rectangular plater’s mark on the bowl: PB surrounding a rosette
•  Weight: 112.6 g

Total weight: 145.5 grams

Very good to excellent vintage condition for both pieces. Lovely natural patina, no dents, cracks, or repairs. All hallmarks and marks are clear and legible (visible in the photos). Ready to use or display.

These two complementary rococo-style pieces form a charming and functional set of French table silver. The sugar sifter is ideal for everyday elegance at the table, while the substantial pelle à glace is perfect for serving ice cream, sorbets, or frozen desserts.
