This is a dignified Hakata doll, "Silence," by Tetsusaburo Kajiwara, a leading master craftsman and traditional artisan in the world of Hakata dolls. It bears the traditional craft certificate designating it as a "Traditional Craft Designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry," proving its undeniable prestige and high artistic quality. The beautiful white-based costume features delicate relief patterns (ground patterns), over which elegant plants and trees are meticulously hand-painted in pastel colors and gold leaf. Holding a small, intricately crafted drum, the doll's dignified standing (or sitting) posture expresses tranquility and profound emotion. This masterpiece, characteristic of Tetsusaburo Kajiwara's work, boasts a delicate, translucent, and beautifully sculpted face, along with the graceful curves of its form.

A special wooden plaque bearing the inscription and seal "Silence, by Tetsusaburo" is included, further enhancing the beauty of the piece.
