The Rosebery China Collection — Tea Service for Two William Edwards | Hand Decorated in England | Fine Bone China
This exquisite tea service belongs to the bespoke Rosebery China Collection, created exclusively by William Edwards — the prestigious English maker behind china for The Ritz, The Goring, The Connaught, and The Berkeley — for The Rosebery afternoon tea salon at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London.
The set comprises a footed teapot with gold-finial lid, a lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, and two footed teacups with saucers — a complete service for two. Each piece features hand-decorated birds and butterflies rendered in vivid colour, set against gilded branch motifs on a luminous white ground. The exotic birds — hummingbirds and kingfisher-like species in green, red, and blue — are complemented by orange and blue butterflies, a ladybird, and delicate insects scattered across the surfaces. All handles, spouts, knobs, and rim lines are finished in rich 22-carat-style gold, lending the set unmistakable luxury.
As a Mandarin Oriental exclusive, this is not a commercially retailed pattern, making it genuinely rare and collectible.
