Very nice pressed-molded glass vase from the Luxval line, Igor model designed in 1935. Its characteristic dodecagonal (12-sided) flared shape and strong geometric decoration – long vertical flutes on the upper part and raised cabochons at the base – make it a typical piece of Belgian Art Deco. The deep amethyst color is particularly luminous and plays beautifully with the light. A sought-after and rather uncommon model that doesn’t turn up every day.
Very good condition with normal signs of age. Signed “VSL Belgique” in the mass. Weight 1900 g. Height 21 cm, rim diameter 14.5 cm, base diameter 9 cm.
