A stunning and fully authentic handmade hanging lantern in the early Arts & Crafts / Gothic Revival style. This heavy-quality piece is crafted from hand-hammered copper, featuring a beautifully embossed French lily (fleur-de-lys) design.

The robust frame and suspension chain are made of thick, hand-forged iron, traditionally assembled with authentic rivets and a hand-twisted chain link at the central mounting point. The lamp comes complete with a historically accurate, ribbed cylinder shade made of amber-tinted glass. The shade rests perfectly in the lower copper cup, emitting a beautiful, warm, and atmospheric glow.

Condition:
The copper and iron are in wonderful, unrestored condition with a deep, untouched and authentic patina that highlights its history. The glass shade is fully intact with no cracks or major chips. The wiring has been modernized with a safe, modern plastic PVC cable, making the lamp ready for immediate installation.

Beschrijving:
Een schitterende en volledig authentieke handgemaakte hanglamp/lantaarn in de vroege Arts & Crafts / Gothic Revival stijl. Dit zware kwaliteitsobject is vervaardigd uit handgehamerd koper en gedecoreerd met een prominent, gedreven Franse lelie (fleur-de-lys) ornament.

Het robuuste frame en de ketting zijn gemaakt van dik, handgesmeed ijzer, traditioneel geassembleerd met authentieke klinknagels en een handgetordeerde kettingschakel aan het centrale ophangpunt. De lamp wordt compleet geleverd met een historisch correcte, cilinder- of kokerlampenkap van geribbeld, amberkleurig glas. Deze kap rust perfect in de onderste koperen cup en zorgt voor een zeer sfeervolle, warme lichtval.

Conditie:
Het koper en ijzer verkeren in een prachtige, ongerestaureerde staat met een diep, authentiek en onberoerd patina dat de hoge ouderdom van de lamp bewijst. Het glas is volledig intact, zonder barsten of diepe chips. De elektriciteit is in het verleden gemoderniseerd met een veilige plastic PVC-kabel (blauw/bruin/aarde), waardoor de lamp direct technisch gebruiksklaar is.
