authentic Japanese WWII-era Civil Defense helmet (防空帽・鉄帽), issued to civilian air defense personnel during the Pacific War period (1937–1945).
Features:
Exterior
Original two-tone khaki and black camouflage paint with authentic age-related cracking, peeling, and natural oxidation consistent with wartime manufacture and field use.
Star ventilation bolt
Original star-shaped ventilation bolt with period paint and natural rust accumulation.
Interior
Retains original blue-green lacquer with natural patina and age-consistent surface corrosion developed over 80+ years.
Chin strap system
Complete original woven cotton chin strap with period D-ring fittings showing natural oxidation. Strap ends show authentic age-related fraying.
Condition: Good used condition. Natural wear, rust, and paint loss consistent with wartime use. No repairs or restoration.
