賣家描述
Elegant and museum-quality French silver jardinière created in Paris in the second half of the 19th century by the prestigious workshop of Emile Puiforcat — one of the most respected names in French silver craftsmanship.
Designed as a luxurious table centerpiece, this piece combines refined metalwork with luminous glass, creating a striking decorative accent for formal interiors and period table settings.
The silver frame is crafted in 950/1000 fine silver — a higher purity standard than sterling — and finished with a gilded interior, a traditional feature used both for beauty and protection. The form is balanced and architectural, raised on elegant supports, and built to showcase floral or decorative arrangements.
It retains its original hand-cut glass insert, richly star-cut on the base, which reflects light beautifully and enhances the presentation of flowers or decorative contents. The glass shows surface scratches consistent with approximately 150 years of careful use — an honest and expected sign of authenticity and age.
French assay marks confirm quality and origin:
Minerva head with number 1 — French guarantee mark for 950 silver
Goldsmith mark “EP” — Emile Puiforcat workshop, Paris
A refined and highly collectible centerpiece — equally suited for advanced silver collections or sophisticated interior display.
