Viking Age, very impressive and solid bronze bracelet, formed from a thick rounded band with overlapping zoomorphic stylized wolf head terminals of Sköll and Hati.
-> Wolves held an important place in Norse mythology and Viking Age symbolism. Sköll and Hati were the wolves said to chase the sun and moon across the sky, linking them to cosmic order, pursuit, and the passing of time. At Ragnarök, Sköll and Hati succeed in their quest and catch their prey. They are a symbol of mortality, endings and the importance of seizing every moment of life and living it to its fullest.

-> Bronze bracelets were worn in the Viking Age both as personal ornaments and as status objects. The decorated terminals gave these objects a distinctive visual character and often carried symbolic meaning.
