Up for auction is a magnificent and highly collectible "Full Set" lot: an original estate-branded wooden case by Ruffino containing 2 bottles of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG from the 1981 vintage, crafted at the prestigious
"Tenuta Il Greppone Mazzi" estate in Montalcino, Tuscany (exclusively owned by
Tenute Ruffino).
This pristine lot comes as a complete time-capsule set, including all its factory-original elements, which significantly enhances its
historical and collectible value:
2 bottles (0.75L) housed in their original fire-branded wooden crate featuring vintage metal hardware.
The wines have been pertectly stored and cellared over the decades in a private collection under professional conditions (darkness, controlled temperature, and humidity.
Both bottles consistently show an "High Shoulder" fill level. This is an exceptional, completely congruent, and perfect level for a wine aged for over 40 years, proving the flawless tightness of the original corks.
