Description:
A shallow porcelain hanging plate decorated with a lively monkey motif in overglaze enamels. The design is drawn with fluid black outlines and accented in turquoise, iron-red, and small areas of brown, creating a strong contrast against the white ground. The plate has a clean, wide form suited both for display and for use as a decorative table piece. It is signed on the front and bears the artist’s mark on the reverse. The work comes with a fitted wooden tomobako storage box and an accompanying leaflet.

Miyazaki Yusuke is a ceramic artist from Saga Prefecture, born in 1954. He opened Tanihou-gama in 1977 and is a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association.
