Beige terracotta flacon dating from the Roman period.
Ovoid body with a flat base, a long straight narrowed neck ending in a flat lip.
This vase was intended to contain perfumes and ointments.
Ceramic covered with a brown-red engobe at the neck.
Has an old label " Paris ---- 1912 rue de Charonne "
Perfect condition.
Provenance: Former private collection Maxime Legrand (1854 - 1924), archaeologist, author of numerous works on archaeology.
Piece viewed by Maxime Lebeurrier, archaeologist, expert at the National Chamber of Specialists in Art and Collectible Objects, member of the European Confederation of Art Experts.
