Item Description:
A cast metal Buddhist mask representing the Moonlight Bodhisattva, known in Japanese as Gakko Bosatsu.

The face has a calm, meditative expression with closed eyes, full lips, elongated ears, and an ornate crown-like headdress with radiating hair detail. The dark brown to black surface has a glossy patina, giving the piece a strong sculptural presence.

The reverse side is hollow and shows the rough texture typical of casting. A small gold-colored mark is visible on the inside, but it cannot be clearly read. There are minor surface marks, edge wear, casting irregularities, and age-related wear, as shown in the photos.

This is a decorative Buddhist art object rather than a wearable mask, suitable for display as a sculptural piece.
