賣家描述
Description:
This Mashiko ware vase has a rounded body, a narrowed neck, and a flared rim. Stylized floral motifs are worked across the central section in the kakiotoshi (sgraffito) technique, with large, flowing floral and foliate patterns scratched through the surface layer to reveal the contrasting color beneath. Behind these motifs, the ground carries a nunome (fabric imprint) texture, giving the surface a tactile, grid-like pattern. The neck and lower section are finished in a matte glaze ranging from dark brown to black, enclosing the decorated band. The base is left unglazed, showing the natural clay surface, with the artist’s seal “Yutaka” (豊) stamped near the center.
Dimensions:
Diameter (widest point): 20.0 cm
Mouth diameter: 11.0 cm
Height: 27.0 cm
Weight: 2,347 g
Condition:
No chips, cracks or restorations.
