The composition is arranged around the nakago-ana with a refined balance of positive and negative space. Snow-covered paulownia leaves and branches, together with plum blossoms and curling stems, are rendered in sukashi openwork. Subtle engraved details add texture and depth to the design.

其構圖圍繞鑰孔布置，正負空間平衡考究。雪覆藤黃的葉與枝條，以及梅花與彎曲的莖幹以透空工藝呈現，細緻的浮雕細節增添質感與層次。

Snow-covered plum is a classical Japanese seasonal motif associated with endurance and the arrival of spring. Paulownia is also regarded as an auspicious and prestigious emblem in Japanese art. Their combination gives this tsuba both decorative presence and a poetic seasonal character.

The iron surface has developed a rich dark brown to black patina through age. The compact iron plate contrasts beautifully with the delicate openwork and fine decorative details. The design remains clearly visible, with the open spaces allowing the silhouettes of the branches, blossoms and snow motifs to stand out.

鐵表面隨歲月發展出濃郁的深褐至黑色包漿。 緊密的鐵板與細緻的透空花紋和裝飾細節形成美麗對比。 設計清晰可見，留白處讓樹枝、花卉與雪紋的剪影更加突顯。

Condition:
Good antique condition, consistent with age and historical use. The surface shows natural age-related patina, minor rubbing, small areas of oxidation, and wear around the seppa-dai and nakago-ana. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
