Vintage Ashberry Sheffield EPNS A1 Silver-Plated 4-Piece Tea & Coffee Service – Art Deco Period (c. 1935–1950)

Elegant vintage 4-piece tea and coffee service by Ashberry, Sheffield, England, crafted in high-quality EPNS A1 (Electro Plated Nickel Silver) and featuring a refined Art Deco-inspired design.

All pieces are marked ASHBERRY – EPNS A1 – MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND – HARD SOLDERED, with pattern number 8012.

The set displays classic Art Deco styling with beautifully shaped bodies, stepped detailing, and striking black handles and finials, characteristic of British silver-plated tableware from the late interwar and early post-war period. The combination of elegant curves and geometric accents makes this service both decorative and highly functional.

Condition:
The set remains in very good vintage condition with a bright, well-preserved silver-plated finish. There is only one minor point to note: the teapot has a very small, shallow indentation on the body (see pictures). This is purely cosmetic, difficult to notice unless closely inspected, and does not affect the structure, stability, or usability of the piece. Apart from normal age-related surface wear and light scratches consistent with careful use, the set presents exceptionally well.

A wonderful example of mid-20th-century Sheffield silver plate, ideal for collectors of Art Deco design, vintage silverware, or elegant table settings.
