賣家描述
Porcelain cup with saucer – France, Empire, early 19th century, Old Paris.
Elegant cup with porcelain saucer from French porcelain dating to the early years of the 19th century, executed in full Empire style.
The object stands out for its rich cobalt blue ground enriched with raised gold finishes and refined Neoclassical decorations. The cup features figurative medallions with allegorical scenes in classical taste, alternated with decorative motifs with winged elements and garlands, typical of the Napoleonic decorative repertoire.
The saucer repeats the same chromatic setup, with blue background and gilded details in foliate motifs, creating a harmonious and elegant whole.
The gilding, still very present, confirms the quality of craftsmanship and the decorative intent of strong scenic impact, typical of productions aimed at aristocratic or high-status clientele.
Object of great decorative charm, representative of the French Empire taste, ideal for both collection and display.
Epoch: early 19th century
Style: Empire
Origin: France
