Frank Sinatra’s tenure with Capitol Records (1953–1962) is universally recognized as the golden age of traditional pop and vocal jazz. During this legendary decade, Sinatra pioneered the concept album, collaborating with masterful arrangers like Nelson Riddle, Billy May, and Gordon Jenkins to produce some of the most emotionally expressive music ever recorded.

In November 1983, premium audiophile label Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab collected 16 of these definitive Capitol albums into one monumental box set. Every single track was meticulously remastered from the original master tapes using MFSL's proprietary half-speed mastering process. This technique drastically reduces distortion and brings out an astonishing level of vocal warmth, presence, and orchestral separation, making it feel as if Sinatra is performing right in your living room.
