This instrument was crafted by Quispe, a well-known South American master luthier specializing in professional Andean wind instruments. The flute is crafted from Jacaranda (often referred to as South American Rosewood or Tarara / Bolivian Rosewood in regional instrument making). Premium Andean luthiers like Quispe favor Jacaranda because it is incredibly dense. This density allows them to turn the wood walls very thin while retaining high structural strength and a powerful, clear musical projection. Excellent condition!
