Decorative celestial chart by Georg Christoph Eimmart (1638–1705), published by Homann, Nuremberg, c. 1720. Map of the northern and southern night sky in two hemispheres. At the top and bottom, three circular astronomical diagrams each illustrating planetary theories, including the Hypothesis Tychonica, the Hypothesis Ptolemaica, Aestus maris permotum lunae, Illuminato lunae per solem, the Hypothesis Copernicana and Schema Ph. Landsbergi. The constellations are artistically depicted in detail in the form of classical mythological figures and creatures.

A few reinforced tears along the lower centre edge; there are also two reinforced holes here; verso remnants of old mounting; the white margin is browned; otherwise in good condition
