Vintage Imperial Japanese Army TOKO (Topcon) RENOX 6×25 Binoculars
Brand & Manufacturer
Manufactured by Tokyo Kogaku Kikai Kabushiki Kaisha, abbreviated as TOKO, the predecessor of modern Topcon optical brand. The triangular “4A” stamp is the factory’s military production code. The model line name is RENOX.
Markings specs:
• 6×25: 6x magnification, 25mm objective lens
• Field 8°: 8-degree field of view
• Serial No. 75248
Production Period
Mass-produced between 1937 and 1945 (Showa 12–20) during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. It was a compact standard-issue binocular for Japanese junior officers, scouts and gendarmerie units. Military production ceased after Japan’s surrender in 1945, and this military-marked variant was never reproduced post-war.
