賣家描述

一件有趣的洛里斯坦(Luristan)文化的青铜铸造镂空吊坠,因其优雅的镂空框架结构和风格化的动物形象端饰而显著。 elongated body is formed by arched ribs creating a hollow interior, while one end terminates in a rounded knop and the opposite in a suspension loop, allowing the piece to be attached to leather straps, harnesses or ceremonial equipment.

The harmonious composition, with its curved bridge-like elements and carefully balanced proportions, reflects the characteristic artistic language of Luristan bronze craftsmanship. Such fittings were used as decorative harness ornaments, pendants or elements of ceremonial equipment and demonstrate the exceptional casting skills of Luristan metalworkers.

The surface exhibits a rich archaeological patina ranging from deep olive-green to dark brown, with areas of mineral encrustation and age-related corrosion that attest to its great antiquity. Despite losses from burial corrosion, the elegant openwork design remains clearly recognizable and highly decorative.

Bronze ornaments of this type belong to the distinctive corpus of Luristan bronzes, celebrated for their imaginative animal-inspired forms, refined craftsmanship and symbolic significance. Their exact function may have varied between ceremonial, decorative and equestrian use, but they consistently illustrate the remarkable artistic achievements of the ancient bronze-working tradition.

Condition: Ancient fragmentary condition with corrosion and losses consistent with long-term burial. Attractive green and brown archaeological patina throughout. The openwork construction and suspension loop remain preserved, making this an authentic and visually appealing example of Luristan bronze craftsmanship.

Provenance: Formerly in the Madeleine & Erich Dammann Collection, Germany. Acquired during the owners' extensive travels between 1950 and 1970. Documented in Germany by 1970 and subsequently retained in continuous family ownership.
