There was no shortage of good psychedelic albums emerging from England in 1967-1968, but Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake is special even within their ranks. I think this is one of the most underrated albums of the 1960s. Tons of people in England might know this people considering their massive success in their homeland, but the Small Faces are essentially an unknown band amongst American listeners. I feel that to be somewhat of a disappointment, because this band and in particular this album are an unsung highlight of 60s music in general.
