Hispano Suiza - T-49 - 1930

Vehicle in ORIGINAL CONDITION from 1930.

BODY / PAINT:

Vehicle in ORIGINAL condition. No sheet metal work or repainting has been done.
From the photos you can see there are some dents in the fenders, front and rear. The paint is peeling in some spots. It needs painting entirely.
The windows go up and down, but the seals are already dried out from time.
The little chrome pieces would need an update.

It has never had any accident, so there are no welds or anything in the original chassis.


MECHANICS:

The vehicle starts well when cold and hot. Only, it needs a little fuel to the carburetor if it has been stationary for a long time, especially to be quicker.
There is a battery disconnect switch under the rear seat, which works perfectly.
The tires were changed a few years ago, and it is a car that has not driven much with them.
Leaf-spring suspension. They are in good condition, only require more frequent lubrication.
Radiator: A radiator restoration was done about 5 years ago due to a leak. The current one works perfectly.
Brakes: Original, the car stops correctly according to the last ITV inspection (March 2026). Not much for its weight, but compliant with regulations.
Gears and clutch: No remarks to add. Works, it has only three forward gears and reverse.
It has a double ignition, right and left, so ignition does not fail.

INTERIOR:
Front: One-piece black leather seat. This piece has springs that are now very worn, as is the condition of the original leather. Worn.
Rear: One-piece seat upholstered in felt. In good condition and well preserved. (Color Gray)
Carriers: There are 2 carriers, upholstered in gray like the rear sofa. In good condition.
Interior: Lined with canvas, in good condition

I have the classic vehicle certificate for CO2 tax exemption in Catalonia, issued by the Catalan Federation of Historic Vehicles.

OTHER INFORMATION:

This vehicle held TAXI license in its town, as it transferred guests from a hotel to the train station. For this reason the combination of T-49 (6 cylinders) with an engine from T-48 (4 cylinders).
I have taxi documentation.
There is an interior latch system in each door, and a keyed lock on the rear door to fully lock the car.

All parts are original to the T-49 model, bodied in Barcelona in 1930.
It has participated in several editions of rallies, PARIS-BARCELONA and BARCELONA-PARIS.

It is a UNIQUE model, since it is bodied at the Barcelona factory, with a T-49 chassis and a T-48 engine. UNIQUE

It is registered under a Spanish company, not an individual.
