From my private collection, which I am currently downsizing, comes an absolute grail of Japanese watch design: An original 1970s Orient ChronoAce “Tiger Eye”.
While green variations appear from time to time, the “Tiger Eye” version with its rich, warm gold-brown-black gradient dial is one of the most sought-after variants among worldwide Orient collectors. The dial beautifully mimics the gemstone of the same name and, together with the original multi-faceted prism crystal, creates a stunning play of light from every angle.
Condition & Functionality:
Movement: The automatic movement starts up properly and runs reliably, keeping time well. The upper quick-set date pusher functions as intended.
Cosmetic Condition: The watch is in honest, unpolished, all-original vintage condition with a beautiful patina.
