Degué France – Sculptural Signed Art Deco Table Lamp with Red-Orange Mottled Glass Globe and Wrought-Iron Base – circa 1930

Elegant French Art Deco table lamp signed Degué, made circa 1925–1935.

The lamp features a large ovoid globe in richly mottled art glass, displaying red-orange, amber and deep brown tones. Its dense, clouded texture becomes especially expressive when illuminated, producing a warm, deep and dramatic glow.

The globe rests on a sculptural hammered and patinated wrought-iron base, composed of vertical stems decorated with stylised leaves and terminating in large spiral scrolls around the foot. The mount combines architectural structure with organic ornament in a distinctly French Art Deco vocabulary.

The glass is signed Degué.
