Nice spherical aggregates of calcite crystals up to 1.7cm nestled in a vug within dark basalt. Notably, the spheres are incompletely formed, revealing the flat rhombohedral faces that compose the rounded aggregates—a fascinating glimpse into their crystallographic structure. Note the excellent contrast and aesthetics.
