If you collect mid-century French pottery, this red-clay vase was crafted by the well-known potter Yvan Borty in Vallauris, dating from the 1950s-1960s. It features a lovely, hand-painted stylized rose motif over a soft cream background, framed by pastel green accents. This is a heavy, solid piece weighing 1700 g, with a height of 26 cm, a maximum diameter of 17 cm, and a 12 cm rim. The base is fully marked and certified, showing the artist's handwritten signature alongside the stamped "Vallauris" mark. It is in excellent overall vintage condition, with a shiny glaze and no chips or cracks. A very charming, sunny piece of mid-century French design that will look beautiful on a sideboard.
