A substantial cast bronze signet ring featuring a thick circular hoop that expands into broad shoulders supporting an elongated almond-shaped bezel. The bezel is framed by a raised border and engraved with a highly stylised linear device, possibly representing an abstract vegetal, eye-like or zoomorphic motif. Its heavy construction, integrated bezel and schematic engraved decoration are consistent with personal seal rings produced in the eastern Mediterranean during the transition from the Late Roman to the Early Byzantine period. The surface preserves a dark green and brown archaeological patina with scattered mineral deposits, oxidation and age-related wear, while the engraved design remains visible.
